SMTboard-3U-Thin is a thinner version of SMTboard with thickness 1/32" instead of 1/16". This provides lower inductance to the solid ground plane for RF prototyping and is closer to the electrical characteristics of a multi-layer PCB with an internal ground plane. The thinner board is also trimmed more easily to fabricate smaller boards. SMTboard-3U-Thin has rectangular pads ideal for 0805 and 1206 surface mount components along with three SOIC and SOT23 prototype areas. Unplated holes in every second pad allows for easy connection to the solid ground plane on the back. There is a through-hole prototyping area at one end. The glass epoxy board is a standard single height (3U) VME/Eurocard size (100 x 160mm).
